Through the program participants will:

  • Increase leadership capacity and skills in public speaking, conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus-building
  • Explore interdisciplinary frameworks for analyzing the current intra-regional challenges from big-picture and grassroots perspectives, and identify collaborative accelerators and inhibitors
  • Build analytical and behavioral skills, and develop tools to foster and sustain an entrepreneurial and cross cultural approaches to the problem
  • Understand the difference in culture and crisis-management practices from three-nations’ perspectives
  • Develop friendships and expand one’s network with young leaders from China, Japan, and Korea
  • Be exposed to Harvard’s state-of-the-art talent training schemes
  • Accepted delegates will have the opportunity to be mentored by Teaching Fellows from Harvard
Applications

Applications are open to high school students originating from China, Japan, and South Korea, who are interested in diplomacy and international relations, and who are seeking an opportunity to: learn about global and regional political, economic, and cultural issues; increase their leadership capacity and skills in public speaking, conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus-building; engage in an interactive learning experience that promotes problem solving and design thinking; and travel, meet new people, and make new friends!
