Executive Leadership School Kuching 2018

Not even the third largest island in the world, Borneo, could contain the explosion of learning young managers got exposed to during the recent Executive Leadership School held from 9 – 11 July 2018. Spending 2 days with visiting Center for Asia Leadership Fellows who have graduated from Harvard University,Matthew Turner, Evan Foggo, Arienne Calingo, and Anushka Ghosh, 60 participants from eleven corporations attended workshops that focused on the theme “Exercising Leadership: Developing the Mindset and Skills for Change.” Held in collaboration with Kolej Sunway Kuching, the program further explored topics such as authentic leadership, building 21st century skills, creating value through design thinking, among others.
A more mixed group of young executives from the private and public sector attended the Executive Leadership Forum on 12 July. 84 participants from 19 corporations and institutions, which included Salcra Jaya, Syarikat Sesco, Yayasan Sarawak, SEDC, Sarawak, Sara Resorts, USCI University, Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, State Planning Unit, Chief Minister’s Department, and the Leadership Institute of Sarawak Civil Service all benefited from the perspective-changing whole-day event.
