Anne Cortez works as a Program Manager for leadership signature programs and coaching services at the Center for Asia Leadership. Since 2019, she has led the operations and delivery of the Center’s professional development courses, webinars, and conferences to over 3,000 senior-level and C-suite leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors across various industries in 35+ countries. Expert in instructional design, educational technology, and learner engagement, Anne has over 8 years of progressive academic training and work experience in L&D, having taken roles in the government, higher education institutions, private and nonprofit organizations in the Philippines and Malaysia.
Prior to joining the Center, she was a Senior Program Specialist and the Head of Social Mobilization Section at the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) where she managed the government’s programs on increasing access and delivering quality basic education to learners including the out-of-school population. In 2016, she was awarded the prestigious Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Fellowship for women leaders in the public sector hosted by Ewha Womans University in South Korea. Anne holds a master’s degree in International Studies major in Development Cooperation and a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication (magna cum laude).
